About Rockford Racecraft

Founded by Guy Reffett in 1992, Rockford Racecraft has established itself by specializing in, and working on more GMC Syclones and Typhoons that anyone else in the country.

Guy Reffett took possession of Syclone #162 in February of 1992.  Modification began immediately, and with the help of prototype ATR components and assistance from Jim Stokes, ET's dropped from the as delivered 13.4@99 to 12.40's@109.  Before the end of the racing season Guy's Syclone ran a best of 12.01@116 making it one of the fastest Syclones that existed in 1992!

Guy now owns three of these unique GMC vehicles; 2 Syclones and 1 Typhoon.  His own 8500 mile mint Syclone contains a 300ci stokes stroker motor, and has run a best of 10.31@132 during the 1995 racing season at Byron Dragway in Illinois.  His own truck now serves as a test vehicle for new parts and technology for these distinct vehicles.  His now famous all yellow Typhoon is now undergoing a motor transplant and conversion to a "Rolling syty performance catalog."
